Hello lovelies! With Memorial Day weekend right around the corner and outside temperatures rising, everyone on our team at Poetic Licence is getting stoked about the beginning of summer! We’re ready for the outdoor barbecues with family and friends, sipping pink lemonade out on the patio, or simply relaxing poolside with one of the classics – maybe some Jane Austen or Charlotte Brontë.

Even though summer doesn’t officially begin until June 20th, the outdoor festivities are already underway. All this fun in the sun calls for an equally fun and creative wardrobe.

This lovely ensemble is a perfect transition from spring to summer. Start off with our European Wishes in white, a comfortable but elegant platform wedge with a braided trim. Notice the textures and detailing with the white stripes and the cut-out shapes on the heel.

We recommend a cute dusty pink casual dress, light enough to keep you cool in hot sun. Speaking of, don’t forget some stylish cat-eye shades and a chic straw hat to keep you protected from all those UV rays. This look pairs perfectly with some pink eyeshadow, and (of course) some winged eye liner to get that ultra-feminine look. Finish off with a lovely floral necklace, and add a splash of blue with the teardrop earrings and beach tote.
