Pine for Summer, but Celebrate Spring
Sandals, flats, thongs- We hear you! As summer quickly approaches, these warm-weather footwear styles are on display center-stage. We're daydreaming about summer picnics, the beach, fireworks, vacations and the need to blaze the AC. Our minds are on the beach, soaking in the sun and digging our toes in the sand, but unfortunately, we're not.
So we imagine, like us, you've had a day or two of wishful thinking, donning your thin sandals and hot-hot weather thongs. You put on a brave face and you look great! Yes, we love those flirty and colorful decorative sandals, but also yes, we can see your goosebumps.
But don't fret! There is a style for this season. You still have the opportunity to celebrate the warmer temps without sacrificing the ability to feel your toes. When you're celebrating the onset of summer, but dealing with the practicality of April's cooler mornings and hot afternoons, think transitional shoes. Shoes with just the right amount of exposure and coverage. Right now, we're loving on the variation available through pumps. Assuredly a style amiable for spring and summer weather, pumps carry the functional sensibility to challenge any lingering chills while still representing the appeal of warmer temperatures.
Looking for more coverage? Check out this season's Feminine Encounters (pictured left), featuring a lace-look with material fully blanketing your toes. We also love the Glamville, with its ghillie tie upfront look that offers a bit of exposure, yet still with full toe coverage.
To challenge just the slightest nip in the air, defer to pumps with cut outs, open-toes and slingbacks that will still carry you through warmer afternoons. We love the Absent-Minded (pictured left), a slingback peep-toe with a fun personality.
So as you pine for summer, don't forget to enjoy the spring season! Dress comfortably with transitional pumps in mind. Shop our full collection of pumps here. (Featuring several Irregular Choice pump styles as well to appease to your wild side!)
Enjoy spring lovelies!
